BT 1 prides itself on 21 years of experience in the exhibition business. During these years, BT 1 has become one of the leading exhibition organizers in the Baltic countries holding major food, building, beauty industry, travel trade, education, engineering, metal processing and other industry fairs.
BT1 annually hosts more than 30 trade fairs attended by an average of 400 to 500 companies from 30 countries all over the world.
Trade fairs held by BT 1 reflect the current trends in Latvian, Baltic and global industries that not only influence but also make up the trade fair content and offer.
BT 1 is working closely with the sector-specific industry associations, which are often co-organizers of the trade fairs. The involvement of associations not only contribute to the quality content, but also to business and economic development, thereby promoting reliability of both local and foreign companies.
BT 1 trade fairs are promoted through a network of agents in several dozen countries around the world thus increasing the flows of business tourism to Riga. One trade fair is attended by around 1000-3500 business tourists that has a significant impact on economic development.
The number of foreign participants reveal a strong tendency to grow – foreign representation at BT 1 fairs amounted to 16.5 percent in 2012, 17.7 percent in 2013, 20.9 percent in 2014 and more than 24% last year.
Businesspeople from abroad take advantage of trade fairs to achieve their business objectives – to explore the Baltic market, talk to the industry players, meet potential partners, present their products and brands etc.
Each trade fair has become a meeting point for industry professionals and a place to do business. Thus the trade fair for mechanical engineering and metalworking “Tech Industry 2015” brought together 19,000 professional visitors (99% of total attendance), the international medical fair “Medbaltica 2015" – almost 10,000 professional visitors (99% of total attendance), the international food fair "Riga food 2015" – 25,000 professionals from 51 countries around the world (70% of total attendance), the travel trade fair "Balttour 2016" – 5300 professionals from 41 countries (20.4% of total attendance).
Kipsala International Exhibition Centre offered 30 trade fairs gathering 3566 participating companies and 511 557 visitors in 2015.
