There will also be exciting displays and shows, pony rides and other entertainment for kids!

There will be breeds less familiar to Latvians, such Schapendoes, Kangal Shepherd Dog (Turkish Shepherd), Thai Bangkaew Dog, Alpine Dachsbracke, Coton de Tulear, Sloughi and Lithuanian Hound. The fiercest competition this year will be among Labrador Retrievers, American Staffordshire Terriers and Russian Hunting Sighthounds. More at www.bt1.lv/petexpo
Noble cats
More than 500 noble cats from 5 countries, competing for one of the many titles, will bring joy to all the cat lovers at the Ķīpsala Expo Centre. There will be a large “delegation” of Maine Coons and Highland Fold cats. This will be the only competition in 2024 with Master’s, Double Master’s and Tripple Master’s ring shows with the cr?me-de-la-cr?me of the cats with best pedigree.
The jury comprised of seven experts from Latvia, Germany, Poland, Italy and Lithuania will judge the contestants. This year’s PetExpo special guest will be Anneliese Hackmann, President of the World Cat Federation, who first started judging cat competitions more than 50 years ago.
