The largest Baltic pet show PetExpo 2025 will take place at the Ķīpsala International Expo Centre on 1-2 March. Thousands of dogs, cats and other pet animals from different parts of the world are expected to attend the trade show, giving visitors an unforgettable experience of seeing rare species in person, as well as enjoying entertaining competitions and meeting the four-legged champions.
3 500 dogs competing for the champion’s title
Over the course of two days, around 3 500 will perform on one of the 20 arenas to win Latvian and international champion titles. This year competitors will fight for two new prestigious titles – International Junior Champion and International Masters Champion, which are expected to raise huge interest among owners of young pups and experienced champions.
PetExpo 2025 will showcase 236 dog breeds, including very rare and exotic breeds like Japanese Kai Ken, Shikoku and Hokkaido, and also Irish Glen of Imaal Terrier and Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. There will be especially fierce competition among Golden Retrievers, English Cocker Spaniels and American Staffordshire Terriers as several tens of these beautiful animals will compete on the arena.
Feline beauty contest and special shows
Cat lovers will have an opportunity to appreciate fore than 300 cats of around 10 different breeds, including the rare Persian, Turkish Angora and Bengal cat. Each of these breeds has coat colour subdivisions, giving visitors a chance to appreciate different colour shades and fur patterns.
Apart for competing for the title of the best in breed, there will also be Best in Show competition with categories like best kitten, best young cat, adult and neutered cat. Moreover, special shows will present Ragdolls, Maine Coons, Abyssinian cats and blue-eyed and Tortoiseshell cats in all their beauty.
Exotic animals, reptiles and birds
PetExpo 2025 in not only about dogs and cats – visitors will be able to also enjoy exotic animals, reptiles, rodents and birds. Come and see monitor lizards, various other lizards, turtles, rabbits and other miniature pets. Birds will be represented by the usual suspects like domesticated birds, but do not miss the magnificent pheasants and glorious peacocks. Great variety of unique animals will bring joy to everyone, as well as presenting a great opportunity to find out more about how to treat them and keep them at home.
Pet paradise: everything your pet needs – from food to accessories!
Trade show in Ķīpsala will bring not only breathtaking shows and competitions, but there will also be fair with everything your pet needs. More than a trade show – an unforgettable experience for the whole family
Arenas and competitions are not the only crowd pleaser as visitors will be offered various shows and demonstrations. Basenji, a dog that does not bark. Unique dance between a man and a dog. Canistherapy demonstrations with visitor participation. Handling skills from young handlers with visitor participation. Dynamic agility and combat sports demonstrations. Anyone who is interested will also be able to attend a masterclass during which dogs will showcase their exceptional smell interpreting skills. Meanwhile, Annels will offer special area with free bouncy houses and entertainment for the little-ones attending the trade show.

If you want to bring your non-competing dog to the show, before you buy ticket, you and your pet will have to go through veterinary checkpoint by Gate 11. Dog owners will be required to present dog’s veterinary health certificate.
