Thinking of becoming a physician, software developer or teacher, but haven’t yet chosen where to study? Or perhaps you don’t even know what you’d like to study yet? Then you absolutely have to go to the Skola 2022 fair, which will take place on 11–13 March! During these three days, you will get a chance to find out about opportunities for studies in Latvia and abroad, consult with students, instructors and career advisors, as well as take part in educational workshops and join exciting activities.Latvia’s universities waiting for future students
‘Doing what you like, what you find interesting and what you do well is important for everyone, especially younger people, and it is something that eventually brings success. Studying is much more exciting if you make the right choice, and I urge people to use the advantages offered at the fair to discover and compare the many options for studies that are out there, and find what’s best for you! Also, meeting in real life in order to chat with people, ask questions and see things is certainly much more interesting than looking up information on the internet, or joining online events,’ said Sanita Blomniece, project manager for the Skola fair.

The University of Latvia, Riga Technical University, Riga Stradiņš University, Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies, Latvian Academy of Sport Education, Rēzekne Academy of Technologies, Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, Ventspils University of Applied Sciences, Latvian Academy of Culture, Latvian Maritime Academy, Latvian National Defence Academy, Turība University, RISEBA University of Applied Sciences, Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, Transport and Telecommunication Institute, BA School of Business and Finance, Baltic International Academy, Riga Medical College of the University of Latvia, P. Meet Olympic champions and join activities!
The fair’s participants have prepared various exciting and enlightening activities. On the first day of the fair, 11 March, Turība University will arrange a meeting with Olympic champions in 3x3 basketball, and hold a lottery for the entire duration of the fair, with a chance to win a bicycle. LU RMK will invite visitors to try various medical manipulations taught at the college as part of training as a massage specialist or assistant physician/optician, while RTRIT will hold a few small master classes. Teenagers and young adults who are looking for a deep dive into the world of innovative technologies and who want to try the functions of latest smartphones, find out about the Solve for Tomorrow idea contest, and test their skills and knowledge in design thinking, will be welcome at the Samsung technology zone.
There will also be Uzvediba.lv master classes, the Datorium Tech Stage and the Open Stage events in Ķīpsala, in addition to the main exhibition of the fair.
Datorium tech stage
Digital technologies have become an obvious everyday reality for business, education and life in general. This is why the Datorium programming school for teens invites the fair’s guests to come to its tech stage events and draw inspiration from teenagers who have used technologies to create innovative digital solutions, start-ups and entire new fields in a modern digital society. You can also change your thinking, and instead of being a passive consumer of digital content, become an active developer of digital technologies and creator of novel ideas! At Skola, you will meet successful peers who will discuss their experience at international hackathons, setting up their companies, and finding well-paid internships and jobs. There will be a few giveaways, digital quests and Discord contests. Join us! Open Stage
On 11 and 12 March, the fair’s participants will give presentations on the Open Stage, talking about their latest offers. The Open-Stage activities will be available to those present at the fair in Ķīpsala, and online, on the Facebook page of Skola. Uzvediba.lv master class
