Ventspils Science Centre VIZIUM invite you to their stand at “Skola 2024”, where everyone will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the educational and excursion offer of VIZIUM and the Digital Centre for students, teachers and families, see exciting experiments, participate in various creative activities, work with robots and find out what you are interested in from the helpful VIZIUM staff!
Ventspils Science Centre VIZIUM is a unique place dedicated to educating children and young people about STEM through technology, workshops and science shows.
The Science Centre takes visitors to the city of the future, where they can explore science through more than 80 interactive and educational exhibits, including workshops and science shows, in 7 galleries dedicated to technology and science, while learning about topics such as physics and mathematics, modern technology and programming, healthy living, humanity and self-discovery, geography, etc. in an exciting way.
At VIZIUM, young and old alike can play football, shoot and snowboard, feel the power of an earthquake, escape from a virtual maze, try on virtual costumes, ride roller coasters and more! VIZIUM also offers technical workshops and science shows to add value to your visit to the Science Centre.
Going to VIZIUM with your class gets you a 10% discount in the Exhibition Hall, and the teacher who comes with the class gets free entry to the Science Centre’s Exhibition Hall!
The Science Centre’s Exhibition Hall can be complemented with science shows, creative and technical workshops, where students will have the opportunity to get creative and use technology to create their own interesting things on topics that interest them. VIZIUM Science Centre also offers 7 audiovisual workshops as part of the programme “Latvijas skolas soma” (School Bag of Latvia).
There are also learning programmes linked to the VIZIUM Science Centre exhibition, so that the learning programme includes interactive and hands-on activities that allow you to test and see in reality the material you learn in theory or hear in school and elsewhere. Additional learning programmes are linked to the Skola2030 curriculum, so they are comparable to lessons and provide in-depth education on specific topics.
The Science Centre offers the possibility to organise a birthday party with various activities in the Exhibition Hall as well as creative activities in the workshops. There are also corporate events for team-building - having fun with colleagues through a variety of attractive activities.
The Science Centre has a modern Conference Room. The Conference Room can be used as a whole, with a capacity of up to 120 people, or divided into 3 independent parts for smaller event formats.
Next to the conference room there is a spacious and modern café, which also offers the possibility to enjoy a meal on the outdoor terrace in summer. Visitors can enjoy a great view of the city from the viewing platform (free), which is one of the highest points in the city.
