Auto 2024, which will take place at Ķīpsala Expo Centre on 19 – 21 April, will display a unique muscle car – the American Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, probably driven by the star of The Grand Tour Richard Hammond. This car is a real beast that burns through 70 l of petrol in 13 minutes.
Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, or “Hellcat” as it is called by its owner, is the epitome of power and passion. That is what you expect from a muscle car that has 6.2 litre V8 HEMI Supercharged engine with 717 HP and torque of up to 850 Nm.
“Car’s powerful engine allows you to speed up to 100 km/h in mere 2.9 seconds. The beast can ramp up to 320 km/h. The whining sound of the Supercharger as you press the gas pedal into the floor and powerful roar of the engine will make the heads turn. Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is more than a car. Power of Hellcat also has toll on its fuel consumption. If you press the pedal to the metal, it will burn through 70 litres of petrol in mere 13 minutes. Engine needs so much air that designers decided to switch out one of its front “eyes” with another “nostril”, giving the car another air intake pipe instead of one of the headlights. Normal driving does not burn through too much fuel. In the city, fuel consumption will range at 18 l/100km but outside the city limits Hellcat will consume 10.7 l/100km.
