Solaride – the Baltics’ first solar car project!

The Solaride project is an educational programme for students in Estonia.

At the Baltic Motorshow you can see our second solar car, built by Estonian university students that took part in an international solar car challenge in Australia and came in third.

The project started in 2020 from the initiative of two students to build the first solar car in the Baltics.

What started out as a small project has grown into an interdisciplinary education and cooperation project. Our main focus is the development of future talents and the popularization of technology education.

We have built the Baltics’ first and second solar cars and at the moment are preparing to build the third solar car.

Solaride participated at the Solar Challenge Morocco in 2021 and at the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in 2023. At BWSC we achieved 3rd place, exceeding many expectations as a first-time participant. A documentary about 2023 BWSC and Solaride’s part in it premiered in Estonian theaters on 4th of March.
