Meet the characters of children’s favourite series “Tuta Things” Tuta’s best friend, the Fox, will be available for meet and greet at Ķīpsala Expo Centre on both days of the trade fair. But the highlight for Tuta Things young fans and other children will come on Sunday, 28 April, at 11:00 when Tuta and her friends – Fox and Fenecca – will come to Ķīpsala to have fun, do things together and jump up and down with children as different activities will take place. Children’s World will also have Tuta Shop where everyone can buy children’s favourite toys and also some entirely new products. Come to Children’s world and have fun with Tuta, Fox and Fenecca.
Two-day celebration for children While parents are shopping or getting the advice from specialists, children will be able to immerse themselves into the world of adventure, games and fun created by Pasaku Nams creative team. Children’s Land will offer little visitors puppet shows with puppets from “Ilze”, circus studio performance, magician Voldemārs, soap bubbles, dance-offs, Zumba masterclass with Rolands Bartaševics, fashion shows, fairy-tale readings by famous actors and singalong with little artists from popular children’s bands and studios. Unleash your fantasy with sandpaper drawings. Meanwhile, on Saturday, 27 April, at 11:30 smaller visitors will be able to compete in crawling competition. Soap bubbles, balloons, ice-cream and tasty pancakes in all kinds of funky shapes will add to festive atmosphere. There is never enough joy – ever!
On Saturday, 27 April, at 11:00 Ķīpsala will transform into a playground, offering all kinds of fun games for children with dancing and singing together with fairy-tale characters of “Pasaku nams” creative. Meanwhile, on 27th and 28th of April, at 11:00 – 16:00 Ķīpsala will host the famous girl dog Lote and fly girl Ruta from Lotte Village in Estonia. So, if you want to meet and take photo with your favourite literary characters, you have to come to Children’s World.
Children’s World will also have free Activepark adventure park area where you can enjoy mini golfing, ride a mini BMX or get lost in a maze. If you are willing to pay a small extra fee, Lego, Panda, Cars and Minion-themed bounce houses are yours for the taking. You can also opt to pay for drift carting or Orbitron 3-D swings if that is what you like.
Safety first! This year’s exhibition will also have parent and children’s favourite Safety Quarter – a section where friendly policemen, firemen, medics and other first responders will tell you all you need to know. Climb into service vehicles and police boat, sit on a police quadbike or look into the water tank of the fire engine – what more can a child want. SFRS mascot Flamie will teach the basics of fire safety. Little daredevils will also have access to rescue service equipment and other apparel that services are using on day-to-day basis during rescue and response operations.
Future parents, and young parents, will be able to benefit from demonstrations using baby dolls that will teach them how to react to a critical situation involving a young child.
Valuable advice for parents Children’s World will operate four consultation rooms for mother and children focusing on health and well-being. If you already are, or are about to become a young mother or father, register in advance and get free advice and group guidance from doulas, midwives, perinatal exercise coach, art therapist, career coach and other experts. Register by 5 April. Do not miss out on this great opportunity.
