This year’s Children’s World trade fair on 27-28 April will also have parent and children’s favourite Safety Quarter – a section where friendly policemen, firemen, medics and other first responders will tell you all you need to know about safety through games during both exhibition days.
SFRS mascot Flamie will tell children everything they need to know about fire safety and even let try on the firefighting suit. Little daredevils will also have access to rescue service equipment and other apparel that services are using on day-to-day basis during rescue and response operations. Climbing inside a police or fire vehicle and police boat will make many children shout with joy. They will even be able to sit on a police quadbike and look into the water tank of the fire engine.
Future parents, and young parents, will be able to benefit from demonstrations using baby dolls that will teach them how to react to a critical situation involving a young child.
