Doula Kristīne Reikmane will teach you how to relax and get ready for labour

Best ways for calming down and preparing yourself for labour using the Rebozo massage, the right breathing patterns and postpartum rituals – these are the topics that Kristīne Reikmane, certified birth doula and mother of three, will pick apart in her free individual and group sessions on 28 April.

Kristīne Reikmane has been practicing Rebozo massage for more than seven years now rebozo. She has trained under well-known international doula experts, including the wise Mexican midwife Angelina Martinez Miranda herself.

Free individual sessions with doula Kristīne Reikmane will focus around: Rebozo techniques for relaxation (includes actual demonstrations). Pain relief breathing techniques. Awareness during labour. Individual sessions are 20 minutes long.

There will also be two group sessions:
13:00 – group session “Postpartum rituals, tips and tricks, rebozo”
17:00 – group session “Natural childbirth and pain relief techniques” (application closed)
Maximum capacity: 5 people.

Rebozo massage or the rocking technique will work miracles for any mum, especially those that suffer from anxiety, nervousness, fear, or just want to restore their bond with their body. It will improve blood flow, reduce anxiety, stress, fear, desire to control, relax the muscles and reduce the tension, teach how to rely on others, appreciate their attention, feel the body, improve the physical and emotional comfort during pregnancy.

How does Rebozo massage work? It starts with a little chat while enjoying a cup a tea, followed by Rebozo massage using the shawls. Seven coloured scarves and rhythmic movements help activate seven areas of the body, releasing muscle tension, soothing the nerves and releasing and restoring the energy in the body.
