Transport and Telecommunication Institute to showcase humanoid NAO robots, robotic manipulators and other technological solutions
Transport and Telecommunication Institute (TSI) will showcase mobile, humanoid NAO robots, robot manipulator and other technological and innovative solutions at TECH Industry 2022
TSI is the only university in Latvia that in the study process use humanoid robots NAO, which gives an opportunity for students to verify how top of edge technological solutions works not only in theory but also in practice. NAO robots are able to identify various objects, their shape and colour, recognize and remember the human face, making dialogues in more than 20 languages, determine the location of itself and recognizing the fall.
At the same time, a robot manipulator will be demonstrated to visitors. This is a type of industrial robot whose functions are like those of a human hand. The manipulator can be a stand-alone device or part of a complex robotic system. They are used in most industries because they can perform complex, repetitive tasks accurately, even in dangerous environments.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn more about iDEAHUB, the TSI Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, which provide Grants for Students Innovations and support Industry for Innovations and ideas development. At the stand there will be an opportunity for companies to learn about the iDEAHUB services and opportunities and to get support for proof-of-concepts activities, prototyping and further development of their ideas. TSI is already implementing 3 innovative projects in frame of iDEAHUB: developing a semi-automated robot-assistant in cleaning and maintaining the territory; manufacturing details acceptance control technology and low-cost multipurpose services drone system
At the stand you can also enrich yourself about study programmes, professional development courses and projects carried out in the last year, get advice on the opportunities to get involved in the study process.
