Riga Technical University students and graduates will present their design creations!

Visitors of Riga Furniture and Interior 2024 will have the opportunity to view the design works of students and graduates of two structural units of Riga Technical University. RTU will be represented by students of the bachelor’s study program Materials Technology and Design of the Institute of Architecture and Design and the bachelor’s study program Industrial Design of the Faculty of Construction and Mechanical Sciences.

The second round of Design Arena 2024 contest evaluation, as well as the announcement of the winners, will take place at the exhibition in Ķīpsala. RTU submitted both interior elements and educational games. Pupils’ work is creative and, indeed, unique.

Students and graduates of the bachelor study program of the Institute of Architecture and Design submitted to the competition a collection of sustainable lamp shades, an innovative coffee table, modular snack plates, and a modular seating collection with a hidden BDSM function. Also, among the works submitted to the competition, there are various educational board games – “Chemical elements”, which promote the learning of chemistry for elementary and high school students, an exploratory game for school-age children about the structure of sentences and the differences between different them "Ordered Subordinate", as well as for the outdoor environment suitable board game for children – “Cilpotajs”.
