LEADING TRADE FAIR ORGANISER IN THE BALTIC STATES

Ambitious export promotion event – Tech Industry Business and Innovation Forum – to take place at Ķīpsala

Tech Industry 2024 mechanical engineering, metalworking, automation, electronics and new technology trade fair, which will take place on 28-30 November, will offer a snapshot of world’s leading equipment and technology products, and also a prominent Business and Innovation Forum. Trade fair will offer to zoom in on a record number of Latvian exporting companies that are looking to expand their market opportunities, take part in B2B matchmaking event for Latvian producers and international buyers, as well as attend insightful International Engineering Conference.

Tech Industry Business and Innovation Forum aims to promote international cooperation between industrial technology industries, explore industry development trends, facilitate direct cooperation between Latvian and foreign companies, and support global competitiveness of Latvian companies.

“In recent decades domestic mechanical engineering and metalworking sector has been developing by leaps and bounds. Currently the export volume generated by our companies exceeds €1.76 billion, with goods going to more than 100 various countries. Sector in general accounted for 23% of exports in the whole processing industry. As we can see, global demand for high technologies continues to grow rapidly. Both Tech Industry trade fair and Business and Innovation Forum are good for engineering sector companies – they can show what they’ve achieved and talk to international partners. That will grow our exports, bring in investment and expand our presence on global markets,” Raivis Bremšmits, Director General of the Latvian Investment and Development Agency, underlines.

“Latvian manufacturers have accrued extensive experience on various export markets and become reliable partner to numerous countries. They are constantly expanding their international reach and exploring new international market opportunities, including through trade fairs taking place in other countries. But Tech Industry is the highlight of the year for the industry here in the Baltics. We are, of course, looking forward to Tech Industry becoming even more international – beside our companies going abroad to take part in international trade fairs, Tech Industry has great potential to attract more foreign partners, which would lead to new partnerships and additional exports,” Toms Grīnfelds, CoB of Association of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Industries of Latvia (MASOC), underlines when asked about the significance of trade fair.

“Tech Industry is a unique opportunity to spend three days in Riga mingling with some of the 18 000 professionals from various industries and different regions of the world, and also meet almost all Latvian engineering sector players in one place. Trade fair will offer an insight into broad range of products and services from parts and various components to turnkey equipment and solutions,” Kardijs Broks, Director of Tech Industry, underlines when talking about the profile of the trade show.
