Exciting festival for children and parents at Ķīpsala
Concerts, shows, fun activities, educational games, meetings with Tuta, Mole, Mice and transformers, baby fashion show and crawling championship – these are just some of the attractions Kids Expo Riga 2025 in Ķīpsala will offer to parents and their kids. But that is not all. Adults will also have opportunity to pick the brain of knowledgeable experts and enjoy great deals. It is a quality time spent together!
From games in the meadow to magic tricks
One of the festival areas, Children’s World, will be transformed into blossoming spring meadow with huge, colourful daffodils and tulips. Mole will crawl out of his hole, Mice will join, the Bee, the Frog and Flower girl, everyone will be there to play and go on a journey together. The journey will bring little adventurers past the amusing Skitterworm, who will perform a dance for everybody, magic tricks of Master Valdemārs Weiss, performed also on audience members. Little Fairy’s bubble show, Perfam music, puppet show with Ilze’s dolls and performances from well-known children’s dance and song groups will keep everyone’s spirits high. And, on 8 Marc, at 11:00, visitors of all ages will be able to join a special play performance Fun in the Green Meadow from the Pasaku nams/Fairytale House creative agency. Two days of fun
During both days of this celebration, children will have an opportunity to meet and greet a REAL transformer, jump around as much as they like in Activepark Fun Park, which will have elements for children of all ages either for free or for a charge. Meanwhile, Sand Lamps is a play area where children will be able to show their artistic talents: make sand art, work with kinetic sand, build, play games and join other fun activities. Bubbles, balloons and ice-cream will, of course, complete the party mood.
Children’s favourite Tuta, the Fox and Fenecca
Little fans of Tuta Things will definitely be pleased to know that Tuta and her friends, the Fox and Fenecca, will visit the Ķīpsala Expo Centre on Sunday, 9 March, at 11:00. This is a nice occasion to spend some activity time, join the characters and engage in playful activities together with others. Tuta’s best friend, the Fox, will be available for meet and greet at the Ķīpsala Expo Centre on both Saturday and Sunday. There will also be Tuta Things pop-up shop with wide range of Tuta things. Come and join Tuta, the Fox, and, of course, Fenecca.
Photo studio for young and grown-up ladies
Colourful visions, flowers and lipstick... For all the young and grown-up ladies, Pasaku Nams will bring a photo studio in the Lobby of the Ķīpsala Expo Centre where all the ladies will be able to take a photo against the background of a rare vintage phonebooth adorned with romantic flower curls, and a bicycle. Super Party will also take care of fun photos in its corner where you will have a choice between Barbie and Transformer-themed arrangements. So, dress up and come take a fun photo!
The first baby fashion show ever
On 9 March, at 12:00, Ķīpsala Expo Centre will become the venue of baby fashion show for the first time ever. So, if you sew, knot, crochet or can create a striking attire from unexpected materials, and you are a parent of a child, this is your time to shine and parade your talent! If you want to take part and show your creative vision and talent through self-made stylish children’s costumes and designs, you must take part. As for the little models (who must not be older than 3), for them it is a great chance to put their charm on and give some positive emotions to the crowd. Creativity will be rewarder. Who’s the fastest crawler in the house?
If you have a small, curious crawling champion at home, this is your discipline. On 8 March, at 11:30, along with other exciting events, Kids Expo Riga 2025 will also offer amusing baby crawling competition. Participants will be registered on 8 March at the Kids Expo Riga 2025 stage from 10:30 until 11:20. Supporters can join in the competition to help little crawling athletes come right to the finish line.
Safety from A to Z for children and their parents
Safety Quarter, which is so popular among children and parents, will also be at this year’s Expo in Ķīpsala. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet friendly Police officers, fire fighters, EMS medics, electricians and special force officers. They will give useful tips on how to prevent disasters that might strike you or your family. Children will have an opportunity to climb into service cars and Police boat, sit on the Police four-wheel ATV and see what is in the tank of the huge fire engine. Flamie, the mascot of SFRS will give useful fire safety advice, and Riga Municipal Police mascot, dog Rotto, will also be on duty. Little daredevils will also have a chance to take a closer look at rescue service equipment and apparel that is used during rescue and disaster response operations.
Meanwhile, adults will have an opportunity to see some demonstrations performed on child dummies and receive critical information on how to provide first aid to a baby.
Well-considered purchases
While children are having fun and various adventures, adults will have some time to browse through the offer of Latvian and international producers, distributors and service providers positioned nearby. Exhibitors will present parents various baby, infant, kindergarten and early school age (under 10 years of age) products, and various items for mothers-to-be. Come, see and compare which stroller, baby food, furniture, clothing, footwear, toy, educational game products you want and can buy. There will also be lots of things for kid’s rooms, athletic and outdoor activities. Exhibitors promise special deals, surprises and tasting of various products. There will also be many exciting activities for children in exhibitor’s booths, such as Wheel of Fortune, lotteries and children’s play corners.
Valuable specialist advice for free
There will also be 4 consultation rooms in Ķīpsala Expo Centre. They will be occupied by specialists advising mother on their and child’s health and wellbeing. Advance appointments can be made by expecting and young mothers wishing to receive free advice of nutritionist, doula, midwife, postpartum fitness coach, physiotherapist, career development coach and other specialists who will consult either individually or during group sessions.
