LEADING TRADE FAIR ORGANISER IN THE BALTIC STATES

On the Outdoor Riga 2025 Open Stage – Fishing Champions and Masters, a Hunting Dog Parade, and a Real Pool!

From April 11 to 13, the Open Stage at the Outdoor Riga 2025 exhibition will host exciting and practical masterclasses by well-known fishing experts from Latvia. Visitors will not only get insights into fly fishing, spinnerbaits, and the secrets of Latvia’s fishing record holders, but also enjoy live demonstrations in a pool located next to the stage for the first time.

On April 11 at 11:00, in collaboration with the fishing podcast Copes Frekvence, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the latest gear presented by various exhibitors.

April 12 will feature several lectures accompanied by demonstrations in the pool. At 11:00, the current Latvian champions in boat spinning and winners of multiple fishing competitions – predatory fish guides Toms Klabis and Gatis Ernstsons – will take the stage. They’ll demonstrate the differences between various lures, how to use them, and how to adapt them for catching pike, zander, and perch.

At 12:00, fly fishing will make its debut! The lecture will be useful for anyone interested in getting into fly fishing – where and what types of fish can be caught with this technique in Latvia. The session will also cover gear selection and introduce the colorful world of artificial flies.

On April 13 at 11:00, multiple-time Latvian champion in salmonid spinning Uģis Circenis will continue the pool demonstrations, showcasing lure characteristics for salmon, sea trout, and brown trout.

At 12:00, the fishing program on the Open Stage will conclude with one of Latvia’s most popular fishing content creators on YouTube – Kristaps Vītols (@Cope_Latvija_TV). He’ll share tips on how to fish year-round without a break in the season and talk about balancing the life of a fisherman and a YouTuber in Latvia.

On April 13 at 13:00, the traditional Hunting Dog Parade will take place, bringing together dogs of various breeds and their owners. Visitors will not only be able to enjoy the parade but also learn more about hunting dogs and watch various demonstrations. The parade is organized by the Latvian Lady Hunters’ Club Lady HUNT.

The stage program will be hosted by adventurer and big pike angler Gunārs Klēģers.
