Latvian folk dance and popular dances of other countries in Dzintari Concert Hall

On September 2 at 16.00 in Dzintari Concert Hall, the Latvian leading folk dance groups “Teiksma”, “Līgo”, “Dancis”, “Rotaļa” and “Liesma”, as well as the youngest generation of dancers – children dance groups “Dzintariņš”, “Teiksmiņa”, “Dzirkstelīte”, “Zelta sietiņš” and children’s dance studio “Līgo” will offer a magnificent folk dance concert “The Best of Folk Dance in Jūrmala” presenting folk dances of Latvia and other countries, new and yet unseen dance performances.

The concert is directed by the choreographer Jānis Ērglis.

The concert has already become an end-of-summer tradition gathering the best and spectators’ favourite Latvian folk dance groups that boast massive experience and vast concert geography.

The concert programme includes dancers and spectators’ favourite Latvian folk dances, choreographies having roots in Latvian folklore created over last couple of years, brilliant folk dancing of other nations – Russian traditional dance, Cs?rd?s, Sirtaki and many other – that will offer emotional pleasures to both the spectators and dancers themselves.

Tickets are available in the “Biļešu paradīze” ticket offices across Latvia, Dzintari Concert Hall box offices or on the Internet (www.bilesuparadize.lv). Ticket prices start on LVL 3.50 ranging to LVL 5. Venue opens to spectators from 15.00.
