Applications have started for the Riga Comm 2015 Business Innovation Conference

Applications have started for Riga Comm 2015 Business Innovation Conference that will take place on 23 October at the Ķīpsala International Exhibition Centre. The conference has received positive praise during previous years, and this year its organisers also promise to surprise with well-known world class lecturers, valuable content and inspiration for new ideas!

The conference is being organised for its third year and it is a one-of-a-kind event in the Baltic region. This year, business leaders recognised internationally and in the Baltics, as well as successful entrepreneurs and representatives of innovative companies, will speak at the conference and share their business experience, as well as reveal creative approaches tothe business processes.

Find out what others will know only tomorrow!
“It is not important whether a company is planning to develop innovations on a global level or is currently not planning to implement them at all. The most important thing is that after the innovation conference, its participants will be familiar with the most successful examples of innovation in the world, Europe, and Latvia. The participants will obtain a different understanding regarding development trends and, most importantly, knowledge about innovations that the market will request in the near future,” Andris Breške, Riga Comm project manager, explains confidently.

We welcome Latvian and foreign business leaders, company managers, technology and innovation enthusiasts, as well as other interested parties from the field not to only find out about innovations in business and draw ideas for developing one’s company, but also develop real contacts and find cooperation partners. “You will be a big step ahead of others, and we guarantee that the conference will truly inspire you to implement innovations in your company,” A. Breške adds.

This year’s conference
This year, the conference will consist of three logically linked main sessions. The themes of the sessions have been chosen specifically in order to reveal the directions in which Baltic companies have the largest potential to be among the global leaders and be able to create unique products for the expected large demand.

Every session will be started by internationally recognised experts, including a representative from IBM, who will reveal global development trends and upcoming events on a global and European scale in an interesting manner. Then, the discussion will be joined by the most successful entrepreneurs and experts of our region with a more precise view on the local situation, who will speak on the actual possibilities of Baltic companies, forms of inclusion, and perspectives. Together, more than 12 lecturers will take part in the conference. The conference will be conducted in English.

Creating a smarter business environment
This session of the conference will provide information on how to integrate developing and already existing solutions more successfully into your business – from smart cars and sensor technologies to completely remote business environment and production process management solutions (Smart Office, Smart City etc.). It will also offer different ready solutions that can provide instant added value to a business. At the end of the session, the discussion will be joined by Arvils Kupris, New Product Development Director at Lattelecom.

Sharing economy

In this session, you will be able to get acquainted with new strategies, as well as innovative business models and their importance in a company. Sharing economy allows for using available resources, possibilities and services in a smarter manner by combining them innovatively and creating surprisingly effective and new business models. Mārtiņš Šulte, CEO of Mintos, the first peer-to-peer lending marketplace in Latvia, will share with his experience on how all this was managed in his company.

Next generation client and employee
Technology development has a strong and continuous influence on people. There are changes in perception, norms, habits, language, and means of communication… The session will provide a view on development trends, as well as solutions for efficiently organising work in a company with workers of different generations and communicating with clients of different generations. One of the participants of the discussion will be Arta Biruma, HR Director at Pauls Stradins Clinical University Hospital, expert of innovative personnel development.

Personalities which surprise and inspire
