Handling for best baby development
What is the right care for the best development of a child? The right way to hold a baby? How to lift and put down the baby in the cot? How to teach a child to roll and sit right? What to do when a child wants to walk? Baby handling is the approach that provides answers to these questions. It is a methodology teaching parents how to take care of their child throughout various phases of baby’s development and age. If you use the right approach, with time the baby will learn to put purpose into movement, use the body and actively respond. Kristīne Ridere, certified physiotherapist of Capital Clinic Riga will offer young parents and parents-to-be free individual consultations and group sessions (lectures) on baby handling at the 0-3 month and 3-6 month age at Ķīpsala Expo Centre on 27 April.
Art therapy will clear your health and social issues away
Children can start art therapy from a very early age. It helps get rid of depression, anxiety, stress. It will contribute to better self-confidence, emotional control and child’s overall development. It will make healing faster, especially when severe trauma or other circumstances prevent a child from opening up about their feelings. Apply for art therapy consultation from Ingrīda Zvēra, art therapist at the “Veselības centrs 4” Children’s Health Centre and member of the British Association of Art Therapists, to find out whether visual plastic art therapy can help your child. You can get a 30-minute free consultation on 28 April at 10:00-13:00 if you apply in advance.
